The University of St. Andrews have a very stringent average acceptance rate at just 8.35%, making it one of the toughest universities to get into not only in the United Kingdom, but the entire world. The Scores

St Andrews is a university in Scotland that has two semesters per year: Martinmas and Candlemas. The academic year at St Andrews is divided into two semesters, Martinmas and Candlemas, named after two of the four Scottish Term and Quarter Days. Martinmas, on 11 November, was originally the feast of Saint Martin of Tours, a 4th-century bishop and hermit. Candlemas originally fell on 2 February, the day of the feast of the Purification, or the Presentation of Christ.

The Martinmas semester runs from early September until mid-December, with examinations taking place just before the Christmas break. There follows an inter-semester period when Martinmas semester business is concluded and preparations are made for the new Candlemas semester, which starts in January and concludes with examinations at the end of May. Graduation is celebrated at the end of June.

International Baccalaureate (IB): 36 (HL 6,5,5) to 38 (HL 6,6,6 plus SL 6,6,6). From 2021, programmes requiring A-levels Mathematics will accept either Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation at higher level.
Cambridge Pre-U ( A-Levels equivalencies):
Where Grade A* at A-Level is required we will ask for D2 in the Pre-U Principal Subject.
Where Grade A at A-Level is required we will ask for D3 in the Pre-U Principal Subject.
Where Grade B at A-Level is required we will ask for M1 in the Pre-U Principal Subject.
Welsh Baccalaureate (A level equivalencies):
Where AAA at A-Level is required we will ask for A in the Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate and AA at A-level.

Students Visa Requirement

Undergraduate and graduate students intending to study for a full degree need to apply for the Tier 4 visa three months before the start date of course as soon as the applicant is issued Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) number.

To apply for an UK study visa the applicant must provide:
