Admissions at Stockholm School of Economics(SSE) are competitive as the institution has a low acceptance rate. The School offers two Bachelor’s programs and five Master’s programs in varying disciplines, such as Business, Economics, Retail Management Accounts, Financial Management etc. SSE also offers a part-time Executive MBA program, which is of 18-months duration. All the programs at SSE are taught in English.
The admission deadlines for both undergraduate and graduate courses are different. The undergraduate degree-seeking applicants must apply by January 17 for early consideration, whereas graduate degree-seeking applicants must apply by November 15. The classes will commence on August 23, 2022.
Standardized test scores are mandatory but Stockholm School of Economics does not frame minimum cut-off marks. However, The median SAT score for the recent academic session was 1390, and the average ACT score of the admitted students was 31.5.

Sweden Visa for International Students
International students who receive the admission offer letter and accept it, need to apply for a student Visa to study in Stockholm School of Economics and other Business schools in Sweden. For thuis, they must apply to the Swedish Migration Agency’s website which is the easiest and fastest way to process. Before applying for the visa, international students must pay the required tuition fee deposit at SSE. This receipt is needed when applying for the permit.

After the overall assessment of applications, Stockholm School of Economics notifies
the selected students via email. The admission decisions for UG programs are declared by April. The Graduate program decision over admissions is released by March of the academic year. As there is a tough competition for admissions, Study abroad applicants must adhere to the admission deadlines while applying.

Non-EU/EEA citizens are generally required to pay tuition fees. There are however some exceptions to this general rule.
SSE follows the same regulations regarding tuition fees as all public universities in Sweden. Check if you are required to pay here.
The fees at SSE are paid in installments (1 per semester) and are due before the semester starts (1 June, 31 December, 31 August, 31 December, etc.).
In case you don’t need to pay the tuition fee, you will be asked to provide a proof of your status (e.g. EU/EEA passport, decision from the Migration Board granting you the residence permit in Sweden). It is your status by the payment deadline that defines whether you are required to pay or not. E.g. if you are in the process of receiving EU passport or Swedish residence permit and you get it before June 1, you are not required to pay. If you receive it after June 1, you are required to pay the fees for the first semester, but will be exempted from paying for the next one.

UniCredit Foundation Master Scholarships (MSc)

Description:
The UniCredit Foundation offers one student of the MSc in Economics at SSE a scholarship. The recipient of the scholarship receives €15,000 per two academic years (in 3 instalments).
Eligibility:
Eligible scholars must be nationals of one of the EU or EEA countries included in the perimeter in which UniCredit operates (that is Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia).
Application:
A separate application for the scholarship is not necessary. On the basis of merit, and in accordance with the selection procedure for the MSc in Economics at SSE, the Department of Economics will nominate a shortlist of three potential recipients from all eligible applicants to the MSc program. These nominees will be contacted and asked for consent to forward their data to the UniCredit Foundation. The UniCredit Foundation will then choose the scholarship recipients from the shortlist.

The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from select developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies, in order to develop effective scholars and leaders and to prepare them for employment, primarily within the AKDN. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant : 50% loan basis through a competitive application process once a year in June or July. The Foundation gives priority to requests for Master’s level courses but is willing to consider applications for PhD programmes, only in the case of outstanding students who are highly recommended for doctoral studies by their professors and who need a PhD for the fulfilment of their career objectives (academic or research oriented).
