SIPBS research staff are amongst the very best and committed to the success of our PhD students. The projects they provide will ensure you are engaged in novel cutting edge research of the highest quality possible and will learn a host of new techniques and laboratory skills to be able to become an independent scientist. Students will produce research papers and present their work at national and international conferences. Students also complete a 60 credit certificate in laboratory and scientific skills.

SIPBS graduates up to 50 PhD students per year who go onto success in academic research, the pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology companies, government bodies, education and finance. We have a strong global PhD community and host students from the UK, Europe, the Middle East/Gulf states, India, China, Malaysia, Africa, Brazil and elsewhere. Scotland is a very welcoming country with friendly people and Glasgow is a wonderful city to live in.
