There is a provision of an installments plan that allows Students to pay the annual tuition fee in three installments. For the academic year 2019/2020 the deadlines are:

  1. 16/09/2019 (only applicable to years after the 1st of enrollment)
  2. 30/01/2020
  3. 30/04/2020

Each installment will have to be paid by the so-called “Bollettino MAV”, a payment slip downloadable from ICatt and accepted by Italian banks only. The Bollettino MAV is a common form of payment in Italy with an identification code to identify each individual payment and match it with the relevant student. During the Orientation Event, students will receive information about how to open an Italian bank account.

Updated deadlines and payment instructions for the a.y. 2020/2021 will be available as of May 2020.

European residents

The annual tuition fee is calculated on the basis of the financial background of the student’s family (n° of family members and nature/amount of yearly income) and the cost of the chosen degree program. A student may pay from a minimum of about € 3600 (for lower family incomes and cheaper courses) to a maximum of about € 8900 (for higher family incomes and more expensive courses) per year.

Non-European residents

A flat tuition fee is applied to international students residing outside the European Union and associated states. The full tuition fee amount is € 8540 per year.

However, this amount can be discounted if candidates request the “UCSC International Scholarship” while filling out the online application. The UCSC International Scholarship is an annual tuition fee reduction promoted by Università Cattolica in order to foster the access of international students to the degree programs. The discount covers about 30% of the total cost. Applicants are notified of the award by email when they receive an offer for admission. The annual tuition fee applicable to undergraduate students who receive the UCSC International Scholarship is € 5750.

This scholarship is automatically extended from year to year for the normal duration of the degree program. Successful candidates must maintain full-time enrolment status in order to finish their degrees on time. Should the candidate be unable to graduate on the expected date, all additional costs will be at the student’s expense.

Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, as part of its mission to foster relationships with developing countries, has designed the Cattolica Africa Scholars Program for students from the African continent.

In case students receive other forms of financial aid (scholarships and accommodation offered by EDUCatt), the UCSC International Scholarship will not be awarded.

EDUCatt is the non-profit foundation that develops actions and strategies aimed at promoting access to higher education (the so-called DSU: diritto allo studio universitario) on behalf of Università Cattolica.
