University of Central Florida International Admissions

To study abroad in a globally recognized institution like UCF, international students are required to present a set of documents at the time of application. Applicants are encouraged to check the list of supporting documents and keep them handy to ensure a smooth process.

English Language Requirements

Apart from this, there are other ways for international students to establish their proficiency in the English language, such as:

  • Minimum 480-520 critical reading SAT or 20 ACT (English section).
  • An onsite assessment by UCF ELI faculty qualified to administer fluency in English language.

Students who fail to fulfill ELP requirements but excels in all other admission requirements will be considered for UCFโ€™s English language program.

University of Central Florida Visa Requirements

All international students need to have an F-1 or J-1 student visa to study in the USA and at University of Central Florida. Students with admission letters are recommended to apply early to provide ample time for visa processing.

Every UCF international student needs to submit the following immigration-related documents to UCF Global.

  • Request I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) student status
  • Copy of Passport
  • Certificate of Finances
  • One (1) 2×2 photograph
  • Proof of financial support

After receiving their I-20 form, students can visit the nearby US Embassy/Consulate to prepare for their visa interview. Applicants must note that June, July, and August are the busiest months and scheduling interview appointments are most difficult.

Note: The supporting Financial documents should showcase that the applicant can cover the cost of attendance (COA) for at least one academic year. At UCF, the COS for UG and PG programs are 35,055 USD and 38,575 USD. University of Central Florida Undergraduate Admissions

University of Central Florida received over 5,500 applications for its various graduate programs in Fall 2019, enrolling only 2,172. UCF is one of the few colleges in the USA where GRE/GMAT scores are not mandatory for all the graduate-level programs

    • Upper-division undergraduate student OR

    • Students must have scored at least 3.0 GPA from the US (bachelorโ€™s degree) or equivalent.
  • Supporting documents:
    • Official certificate of degree along with one official transcript. The documents must have an original seal or signature of the institution.
    • The documents must be translated into the English language.

Note: The transcripts and documents must not be sent in the original form as they would not be returned.
