Colorado School of Mines offers 3 Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering degree programs. It’s a medium sized, public, four-year university in a large suburb. In 2019, 399 Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering students graduated with students earning 327 Bachelor’s degrees, 65 Master’s degrees, and 7 Doctoral degrees

As an aerospace engineer, you could design a spacecraft to transport astronauts to Mars or launch civilians into orbit. You might create unmanned aerial vehicles that assist the military or advance our understanding of environmental problems, or develop a deep sea rover to explore the ocean floor. From rockets to radar and commercial planes to satellites, a degree in aerospace engineering can help your dreams take flight.

Aerospace Systems Engineering Technology (ASET)

Aerospace companies such as Ball Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, and NASA anticipate a growing need for new workers with a strong background in technology and project management at the bachelor’s degree level. MSU Denver is working in collaboration with the Community College of Denver, NASA, and others to prepare students with the varied skills they will need to be successful in this field.

Students interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in the field of Aerospace Systems Engineering Technology may do so through the Individualized Degree Program, which allows for a combination of suggested coursework across multiple departments with the flexibility to meet the needs of the individual student.  

This program is an extended major and does not require a minor.

This degree requires a completed and approved IDP proposal.
