It was founded in 1965. With regard to the scope of its subjects and degree programmes offered, the University of Warwick is a comprehensive institution. The University of Warwick graduation rate is 92,52 for bachelors (A score) and 93,34 for masters (B score).
University Of Warwick
The University of Warwick started operating in 1964 with a few graduate students. In October 1965, the university admitted its first batch of 450 undergraduates. In the same year, the university also gained its Royal Charter of Incorporation. Eventually, it has made its place among the top academic institutions in the world. Warwick is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, AACSB, and the Midlands Innovation group, AMBA, the European University Association, EQUIS, Universities UK, and the Russell Group.
Located 5 km away from the Coventry City Centre, the main site of the University of Warwick comprises three adjoining campuses, namely the Gibbet Hill campus, Westwood campus, and University of Warwick Science Park. The university’s main site also houses Warwick Arts Centre that has a concert hall, theatre studio, art gallery, and music Centre. In addition, it is home to the University House and provides several sports facilities to the students. Further, the Gibbet Hill campus administers Warwick Medical School’s pre-clinical activities and includes the Department of Life Sciences. The Westwood campus houses the Centre for Professional Education, Arden House conference Centre and Centre for Lifelong Learning. Located in Walsgrave, University Hospital Coventry has the building of the Clinical Sciences department. Notably, Warwick Horticulture Research International Research and Conference Centre is situated in Welles Bourne. Located in London, the Shard skyscraper features the Warwick Business School campus.
The University of Warwick offers many postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in various fields like engineering, science, medicine, social science, arts, theatre, language, law, business, and finance. The university has over 27,000 students and more than 2,400 qualified and experienced teachers. Tuition Fees at Warwick
2021/22 tuition fees cover the majority of the costs of your study, including teaching and assessment, and are charged at the start of each academic year. For undergraduate full-time courses, tuition fees for overseas fee-payers will range between ยฃ21,220 to ยฃ27,060. Accommodation
The University of Warwick has one of the largest ranges of campus accommodation in the UK, with something to suit everyone’s needs and budget. You can live in flats or halls of residence, with en-suite or shared bathroom facilities, and a limited amount of same-sex accommodation is also available.
All single study campus bedrooms are furnished to a high standard, have access to shared equipped kitchens and come equipped with a network point which allows fast, free internet access. All first year undergraduate and postgraduate international students are guaranteed on-campus accommodation, providing their application is received before the published deadline.
Location
The University of Warwick is located in the heart of England, on the edge of the multicultural city of Coventry and the border of Warwickshire. This location means one side of the campus faces a busy modern city whilst the other overlooks beautiful English countryside. Coventry is Englandโs eighth largest city and offers excellent shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Its mediaeval past can be seen in its remaining original buildings, whilst its modern-day fame is seen in its modern new cathedral.
The University of Warwick campus provides a variety of day-to-day facilities and services for students. The areas around the piazza and the Students’ Union building are the central shopping spots, where you can find a supermarket, banks, post office, pharmacy and bookshop. Warwickโs central location means it is easily accessible by road, rail and air: Birmingham International Airport is only 20 minutes from campus and London is only 65 minutes away by train from Coventryโs main rail station.
