Work While you Study

The university provides work-study programs for domestic as well as international students who are studying or looking to get admission in the University of North Texas. To work on campus, international student(s) must: 

  • Hold valid F-1 status 
  • Complete the Foreign National Information form with the UNTSystem Tax Office

International students do not require any special permission from the immigration and can work up to 20-hours/week during fall and spring terms. 

Please note: F-1 students cannot work off-campus without immigration permission.
