- First semester is all about understanding the course curriculum. It is different from India. Students need to be interactive with the professors. Quizzes are held frequently
- The curriculum is experiential learning and is activity or project-based (group projects). These projects prepare you for your work life.
University Experience: According to Anshika, the best experience she had at Virginia Tech was, celebrating different festivals of cultures around the world. Diwali was her favorite.

- Students must apply for internships in the last semester of their programs. Internships might get converted into full-time jobs.
- The window for finding a job after graduation is 3 months for international students.
Tips for Indian Students: Resume matters and interview matters. Work on your resume before applying to any university. The average salary of an engineering graduate of Virginia Tech is around USD 82,000
- The transition phase from India to US can be very stressful. Connecting to Indian Students Association might make you feel like home.
