  • Non-Degree Seeking Students: Students who currently hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) and are wanting to take coursework not related to a specific degree, will need to apply through the Graduate School as a non-degree seeking student.
    • Graduate-Level Business Courses (Non-Degree): Students who are interested in taking graduate-level business courses as a non-degree seeking student will need to apply as a Graduate Business Courses (Non-Degree) student. 
  • Second Bachelor Students: Students who have previously earned a bachelor’s degree and are seeking another undergraduate degree, will need to apply through the Graduate School as a second bachelor.
  • International Students: International applicants must comply with the deadlines and additional requirements set by the International Student Office for immigration purposes.

Interdisciplinary Studies M.A. and M.S.

Application Requirements

  • WTAMU Graduate School application

Graduate School | WTAMU

11-Month MBA Admission Requirements

A student must be admitted to Graduate Studies and to a specific program in order to take graduate level courses. Admission to the 11 month MBA program requires a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.

The 11 month MBA program requires 32 credit hours that includes 23 hours of core courses (including 2 credit hours representing 4 professional development modules) and 9 credit hours of elective courses.  Graduation requires 32 credit hours.  Students can also take an optional, competitive, paid internship that will award an extra 6 credit hours (at no extra cost) and complete the MBA program with 38 credit hours.  

The 11 month MBA applicants must submit (1) curriculum vitae or resume, (2) one-page essay on student’s aspirations and the reason student wants to complete the MBA program, (3) One letter of recommendation.

Graduate Admissions Required Test Scores

Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution: Equal to or greater than 2.5 overall or equal to or greater than 2.75 GPA in the last 60 hours.
 
The required GMAT Score is 450 or an equivalent GRE score of 298 will also suffice (waived for academic year 2022-2023).

 Overview

The Master of Business Administration program (Online Pathways MBA) is designed to prepare students for executive management positions in business, government, and non-profit organizations. The MBA program requires a student to successfully complete 31 semester credit hours (Plan III program of graduate business courses).

A total of 6 credit hours (or two courses with grade of ‘B’ or better) will be allowed to transfer into any graduate program within the College of Business.

Online Pathways MBA Admission Requirements

A student must be admitted to Graduate Studies and to a specific program in order to take graduate level courses. Admission to the Online Pathways MBA program requires a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.

The Online Pathways MBA program requires 31 hours (10 courses and one hour for capstone exit exams). Graduation requires 31 credit hours. 

The Online Pathways MBA applicants must submit (1) curriculum vitae or resume, (2) one-page essay on student’s aspirations and the reason student wants to complete the MBA program, (3) One letter of recommendation, (4) Official Transcript(s) from each degree awarded institution.

Applications for graduate admissions require a non-refundable application fee ($55).

Apply for Scholarships

To apply for scholarships, graduate degree-seeking students should submit the general scholarship application.

Submit Transcripts

To complete your application package, official transcripts are required from all colleges and universities that you have previously attended. This includes dual credit coursework during high school, community colleges, trade/vocational schools, military training, foreign institutions, undergraduate and graduate coursework, and any institutions that you attended where a degree was not received, if applicable.

Please have your college(s)/university(ies) send a copy of your transcript(s) directly from the institution to us at graduateschool@wtamu.edu, using a secure transcript mailing service, such as National Student Clearing House, Escripts, or Parchment, or by USPS to:

Decision

After you have submitted your graduate school application, you will receive an acknowledgement email with your Buffalo Gold Card Number. This number will serve as your student identification number. You will receive both email and letter correspondence detailing any missing documentation required to complete your application.

After you have submitted all of your admissions documents, we will send your application to the program for review. Please await your admissions decision, but feel free to check your application status with us. For most programs, the wait time after your application is submitted for review is approximately three weeks, but this can vary depending on the program.

Program audition:
Vocal students:
Total of four selections with four languages represented – German, English, Italian:

  • Aria from either opera or oratorio
  • Art songs
    Instrumental students:
    Two music pieces that are contrasting and demonstrate musicality and technical proficiency
    Placement test for leveling courses
    Letter of interest that discusses their performance medium and how a graduate degree in music will help achieve their professional goals. The letter of interest must be provided on your applicant portal.

Admission Requirements

WTAMU Graduate School application

Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
Overall undergraduate GPA ≥ 3.0
Submit a one-page letter of intent or a one-page artistic statement
Submit portfolio or a collection of 20 images
Interview with the major professor of the prospective student’s intended studio
Students should not apply to the M.F.A. program in studio art unless they have completed a minimum of thirty-six (36) undergraduate hours in art at an accredited institution
Applicants who do not meet this requirement should contact an undergraduate adviser for information on an undergraduate degree in art

April 10 for fall admission
Students who miss the April 10 deadline need to contact the department head at (806) 651-2799.
Conditional Admission
Any applicant who does not meet the requirements for the program may be reviewed for possible conditional admission. Please contact the program adviser for more information.
