Students with a first degree in any subject who wish to convert to law can study a two-year LLB in the UK, known as Graduate Entry Law, Senior Status Law, or an Accelerated LLB. The two-year LLB covers the core modules and foundations of Law, generally allowing students to choose elective modules in the second year.
Our law degree, known as an LLB or Bachelor of Laws, is equivalent to a BA or BSc. If your career aspiration is to be a solicitor or barrister in the UK, this degree is perfect for you as it is recognised as a Qualifying Law Degree. And if you have set your sights on a career in politics, business, or journalism our Qualifying Law Degree, with the transferrable skills it gives you, is an excellent launch pad for these ambitions and more. With our professionally focused qualification, you can expect to learn practical skills coupled with a focus on your future employability. Studying our degree will also mean you are prepared in part for the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE 1) or to progress onto our Bar Practice Course (if you wish to qualify as a barrister).
