What is Villanova Universityโ€™s transfer acceptance rate?

In 2019, Villanova University received 863 transfer applicants.

The school accepted 216 students. Therefore, the transfer acceptance rate for Villanova University is 25.03%.

Required Credentials (to be submitted by the deadline)

Transfer Application: Complete the Common Application OR the Villanova Transfer Application.

Official Transcripts from EACH post-secondary school attended: Complete the Academic History section of the Common Application.  In order to submit official transcripts, you may:

  1. Submit directly from your institution(s) to Villanova University
  2. Submit via a transcript delivery service (Parchment Delivery Services, Clearinghouse, etc.)
  3. Via the Common Application (download the Transcript Request Form

Course Catalog:  Upload a copy of course descriptions from your course catalog(s) from all institutions that you have attended to the Program Materials section of the Common Application. Your application cannot be reviewed without the descriptions.  

Transfer Conduct Form: Print and complete top portion of the Transfer Conduct Form and then provide to your Dean of Students to complete and submit directly to Villanova via mail or email (anne.marie.pisani@villanova.edu).

Official High School Transcripts: Download the Transcript Request Form and have the secondary school forward directly to Villanova along with official transcripts.  

Official test SAT or ACT Scores and TOEFL/IELTS (for international students): Scores must be sent directly from the College Board or ACT, or they must be documented on the official high school transcript.   

Essay: The section allows you to provide information regarding your interest in joining the Villanova Community and your academic background and future plans.

Application Fee: $80 (there is a fee waiver available through the NACAC if you are a Pell recipient).

Villanova University welcomes transfer applications from students with previous college experience from other institutions. To be eligible for transfer admission to Villanova, you must have enrolled in college as a degree-seeking student or a full-time student after completing high school. If you were previously enrolled at Villanova, you will need to contact the Dean of the college to seek re-enrollment.

Admission criteria and prior course selections vary slightly depending upon the college and academic program to which you apply. Only completed files will be reviewed, therefore students should monitor their Applicant Status Page to view any missing requirements. All candidates will be notified of their admission decision through their status page as well.

For consideration, a minimum college cumulative GPA of a 3.00/4.00 is strongly recommended for all transfer students.

FALL TERM:

  • March 1: Fitzpatrick College of Nursing
  • June 1: College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Villanova School of Business and College of Engineering (Electrical Engineering only)

SPRING TERM:

  • November 1: College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and College of Engineering (Electrical Engineering only)
  • The Villanova School of Business and Fitzpatrick College of Nursing do not consider applications for Spring transfer.
