What does the admissions office say?

The components of the NYU Stern Business school application are academic profile, professional achievements and aspirations, and personal characteristics. Make sure that your application represents you as a well-rounded individual with strong academic drive, a wealth of professional and leadership experience, and a fun, amicable personality. The admissions committee are only picking students that will bring something good to the NYU Stern table. If you come off as rude and arrogant in your application, or conversely, uninterested and disengaged, you will not earn a spot in the incoming class.

Interviews are by invitation only for all programs. Invitation-only interviews mean that you will need to make sure your representation on paper (meaning electronic application) is ready to knock people’s socks off. You won’t get a second chance in this application year to show the admissions office that you deserve a spot so make sure your application has the “wow” factor to push your application to the “interview’ pile. Getting an interview means that you made it to the next round. You need to make sure that you capitalize on your interview and demonstrate that you are the right fit for the school.
