GSEP COVID-19 Tuition Discount

The Graduate School of Education and Psychology understands the unique impact and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic and, in response, is offering returning students a discount for the Fall 2021 academic term to help offset the University-wide tuition increase. This discount is only available to continuing students who are registered for the Fall 2021 term, and it will be automatically posted to eligible students’ accounts as part of their financial aid by the start of the Fall 2021 term.

Administration Policies:
The discount is available to continuing students only.
Students enrolled in only the one-unit Dissertation Completion course (PSY801 or ED792) are not eligible.
Funds will be disbursed in Fall 2021 term only. Failure to enroll in the Fall 2021 will result in the forfeiture of this discount.
Recipients of this discount are not restricted from receiving other institutional scholarships or discounts for which they qualify. Students receiving full tuition funding from third parties may not be eligible for this discount.
Masters program students will receive $400, and doctoral program students will receive $600.


L.A. Sheriff’s Department University Partnership

LASD University students and their qualifying spouse and children (must apply to the program by age 25) as well as city, county, state and federal employees. Employees must be in good standing. Marco Garcia Memorial Fellowship

Eligibility Criteria:

The GSEP Marco Garcia Memorial Fellowship Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students pursuing a graduate degree in psychology. It was established to promote mental health services in the underserved multicultural community with an emphasis in providing direct services to the Mexican-American population.

This scholarship is available to students enrolled full-time in either the PsyD in Clinical Psychology or MA in Clinical Psychology (Daytime Format, Evening Format, or Aliento) programs. Recipients must be Mexican or Mexican-American. Students anticipated to graduate this term or in the upcoming term are ineligible to apply for this scholarship. Recipients must also demonstrate excellent academic performance (cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above). This award will be evenly distributed across the spring and summer terms.

If you qualify based on the criteria above, please complete the following steps:

The GSEP Endowed Fellows Fund

Eligibility Criteria:

The GSEP Fellows Fund applies to both currently enrolled and new students and is designed to increase graduate-level higher education access and to promote academic excellence among African American male scholars matriculating in the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Change program. This fund seeks to reduce financial barriers for this targeted population and increase their representation in positions such as designers, developers, technology managers, teachers, and organizational leaders. It also seeks to increase Pepperdine’s involvement in church and community activities. Recipients must demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian values and be actively engaged in both the church and the broader community. Scholarship recipients must agree to complete a technology/leadership project in collaboration with a GSEP approved local or global partner before the end of the academic year in which the fellowship is awarded.

Application Process:

The applicant must submit an essay (approximately 300 words) and two letters of recommendation from church and community leaders. The essay should address the applicant’s eligibility with particular emphasis on their ongoing involvement in and contributions to the church and the broader community. It should address their experience with technology and explain their planned technology/leadership project. Scholarships can be renewed annually with proof of good academic standing and an approved technology/leadership project plan.
