The Postgraduate studies programme is focused on a research training program for research and development, expertise and consulting.
The PhD program is accessible to students who have obtained their Master’s degree or to international students with an equivalent degree. Postgraduate students are supervised by an academic thesis supervisor in the scientific research units of the University of Burgundy.
This program is conducted within six accredited Postgraduate Schools.
The degree has a duration of 36 months = 3 academic years.

Housing services
Regional Student Centre CROUS offers the opportunity of renting individual rooms either in an accommodation block or in well-furnished apartments to 4,100 students.
- Students are exempt from paying local housing taxes and can apply for state financial aids for housing.
- CROUS also offers accommodations in private homes: homestay or private apartment.
- International degree seeking students: you can apply for a room in a CROUS student residence at the CROUS website.
- International exchange students: you can book your student room via the International Office online application form for exchange students mobilities.
The university libraries provide access to books, journals and reviews, e-documents, DVDs, eBooks and to media library with novels, magazines and comics. These collections are adapted to both undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes.

Campus life
The main campus is located in Dijon and is host to 24,000 students. Located 10 minutes away from the city centre, the campus covers 115 hectares full of green open spaces. Several libraries, high quality sports facilities, a thriving cultural centre, a permanent art exhibition, several university restaurants and halls of residence for students, a day nursery as well as 130 lively student associations can be found on campus.
