100% Online Degree Options

If you need even more flexibility, Coker offers four undergraduate degrees that are completely onlineโ€“โ€“business management, criminology, psychology, and sociology.  

How will this work?

  • Classes will be both online and in-seat at FDTC โ€“ Each term, students spend one night per week taking an in-person course with Coker faculty in an FDTC classroom and a second class taught entirely online.
  • 8-week terms โ€“ Youโ€™ll complete six (6) credit hours per eight-week term (a full-time schedule for financial aid purposes).
  • 2 classes each term โ€“ Each term youโ€™ll complete one course pertaining to your major (business or criminology) and one general education course.
  • You will have support โ€“ Youโ€™ll be part of a cohort, meaning youโ€™ll be with the same group of students as you work together toward your bachelorโ€™s degree. In addition, youโ€™ll have Cokerโ€™s supportive faculty, staff, and resources to help you along the way.

How long will it take to earn my bachelorโ€™s degree?

If students are able to complete two classes each 8-week term (including a summer term), they could earn their bachelorโ€™s degree in just two years.

How much will it cost?

$425/ per credit hour (or) $2,550 per term (6 hours x $425/per term = $2,550)

Financial Aid & Scholarships

  • Annual $2,000 Achievement Scholarship for FDTC associate degree graduates (3-year max limit)
  • Federal Pell Grant available to those who qualify
  • SC Tuition Grant offered annually to students who begin in August (Term 1) and complete their FAFSA no later than June 30
  • Subsidized and unsubsidized loans available to those who qualify

School Overview

Florence-Darlington Technical college in Florence, South Carolina, is a two year community college that is a members of the South Carolina Technical College System. The college was founded in 1963 and today serves the counties of Florence, Marion and Darlington, South Carolina. During its initial years enrollment at Florence-Darlington never exceeded 250, however, today Florence-Darlington Technical College enrolls over 6,000 students annually and sits on a campus that is nearly 240 acres (a far cry from the 10 acres it was established on). The college campus has eight large buildings that total nearly 350,000 square feet and it is in the process of adding an additional 325,000 square feet of instruction space for its professors and students. Florence-Darlington also operates satellite campuses in Lake City, Hartsville, and Mullins, South Carolina as well as a major health sciences complex located in downtown Florence.
