About University of San Francisco Tuition
The University of San Francisco’s School of Management centers itself on social responsibility and conscious reflection throughout all of its business programs. Located in downtown San Francisco, the School of Management’s 22-month full-time MBA program allows students to network with, and learn from, business leaders in the Bay Area.
What sets USF apart from other Bay Area schools is their Career Accelerator Platform (CAP). Taken during their first year, students will be propelled into their chosen career track by participating in a consulting project with a Bay Area firm. Students will choose from three CAP tracks including, Business Finance, Customer Success Management and Human Factors of Business Performance. In doing so, they’ll gain valuable real-world experience and integral networking opportunities.
USF also prioritizes diversity, small class size and experiential learning, leading to an increase in personal relationships and an abundance of diverse learning opportunities. MBA ‘16 graduate, Alejandra Arce Gomez told the USF School of Management, “I love that at USF I interact with people from all over the world every day. There is a culture here of, not just respect, but admiration for different cultures and traditions.”
She went on to say, “It makes us better students and it lets us grow as compassionate humans, because everyone is comfortable in the group and open about their backgrounds and that way everyone brings something different to the table. I think that’s part of what makes USF unique.”
USF’s School of Management is one of the top schools in the country for MBA students who want to launch their own businesses, according to the latest rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
USF ranked 22nd on U.S. News’ best MBA programs for entrepreneurship list.
“We have a very strong academic base and maintain connections with our entrepreneur alumni, ” said Elizabeth Davis, dean of the School of Management, which offers an MBA as well as other graduate business degrees. “The strength of our network and our expertise is what’s given us this ranking.”
From theory to practice
The U.S. News recognition comes just seven months after Forbes ranked USF 19th among universities for entrepreneurialism.
Davis says the School of Management helps students develop practical skills, in addition to providing an academic and ethical foundation.
“We have practicums, we have a small business venture center where students can work with alumni on projects related to entrepreneurship, and there are a whole variety of outlets for moving from theory to practice, ” she said.
