Applicants to Veterinary Science should be aware that students will be required as part of the registration process at the start of their studies to undergo an occupational health assessment.
A level requirements | AAA in three A Level subjects: – Biology or human biology at grade A – Chemistry, or another academic science-related subject (Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Geology, Psychology) at grade A – A third subject of your choice* at grade A If Chemistry is not offered at A-level, it must be offered at AS-level (at grade B or above). For Science A-levels in which practical assessment is separately graded, a “pass” grade will be required. (this is the typical entry requirement) for this course. General Studies is not considered for this course. |
Subject requirements | At least five GCSEs at grade 7 (A) including two science GCSEs (either as separate subjects or e.g. dual award science). With at least a grade 6 (B) in: English (literature or language) Mathematics A level: Three A levels in Biology, one other academic science related subject and any other subject excluding General Studies, Critical Thinking and Citizenship Studies. If Chemistry is not offered at A level, grade B at AS level is required. For 2021 entry, we are piloting the use of contextual offers for applicants offering a 2-grade reduction* from the standard offer for the following under-represented groups:

If this is your first degree and you are a Home student applying for entry in 2022, you do not have to pay your fees upfront. Instead, you can take out a tuition fee loan which is paid straight to the University. This is available to most students, no matter what their household income. For students applying for 2022 entry Tuition fees for 2022 entry are £9,250. Exceptions to the £9,250 fee: Some of our programmes charge less than the full £9,250 fee: •Foundation programmes: the fee for the foundation year of specified programmes at Carmel College is £5,140. •Programmes with a year in industry or a year abroad: the fee for students spending a full year working in industry is £1,850. The fee for students spending a full year abroad is £1,385.
