City, University of London is a public research institution. Since the year 2016, it has been serving as the University of London’s constituent college. Established in the year 1894, it used to be recognized as the Northampton Institute. It gained the status of a university when the royal charter created the City University in 1966. Known for its academic excellence, the institution shares a strong association with the City of London. Owing to its academic record, focus on business and professional and central location in the heart of London, the university attracts students from across the world.

The campus of the institution is situated in Central London along with other locations located in the City, Islington, West End, and East End. The university is home to five schools including the School of Health Sciences, School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering, Cass Business School, The City Law School and the School of Arts & Social Sciences. The academic structure of the institute is further completed by its Graduate School, the Department for Learning Enhancement & Development (LEaD) and interdisciplinary centres. There are about 40 centres and academic departments within the various schools of the university. From a well-stocked library to a student centre and typical lecture theatre, the university’s campus has everything needed to facilitate a positive and conducive learning environment.

The institute houses around 20,210 students (46% out of which are enrolled at postgraduate level) from 160 plus countries and the staff from about 75 countries. Currently university has 250 Indian students. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level degree programs along with certificates and diplomas to students. More than two-thirds of the programs of the institution are well-recognized by professional bodies like BPS, BCS, CILIP, HPC, ICE, and RICS. Further, the university has an online career network where current students are assisted by former students.

Cass Business School Campus

  • The Business School has over 4,000 students with an impressive number of 2,300 undergraduates from over 90 countries around the world.
  • Cass Business School operates under the campus umbrella of City, the University of London which has a main campus in Northampton Square that accommodates the Cass Business School and up to three other satellite locations.
  • It houses the Faculty of Finance, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Actuarial Science and Statistics, Cass Learning Resources Centre, Specialist Master’s Program, and Career Resource Centre.
  • Some impressive buildings used by Cass Business School are The Cyril Kleinwort Learning Resource Center, Bloomberg, and Reuters dealing rooms, state-of-the-art facilities 200-seater auditorium, computing rooms, etc
  • The Cyril Kleinwort Learning Resource Center incorporates a library that contains about 30,000 books, and Cass Masters’ past dissertations and exam papers, and thousands of electronic journals and newspapers

Cass Business School Residence

  • At the City, University of London, there are eleven residential halls, six of them are designated for undergraduates, one is shared between graduates and undergraduates, and four of them are for graduates.
  • Residential halls amenities include 24-hour CCTV and security, communal spaces, 24-hour reception, coin-operated laundries, Wi-Fi, mailboxes, elevator, games and cinema rooms, yoga rooms, study area, common rooms, and bike storage
  • Special housing conditions are provided for students with disabilities or special medical conditions
  • Applications for housing are made online and as freshmen undergraduates, an email with a link to the application form is usually sent to the successful applicant after the applicant has been offered admission into a full-time program at the Business School.

Cass Business School Programs

  • It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees along with various executive programs in Finance, Actuarial science, Business and Management, and Accounting. It also offers Summer programs.
  • Offered at Cass Business School are 13 undergraduate programs and four foundation programs.
  • There is a summer school program that allows graduates and undergraduates to study Finance, Business, or Management in London in three weeks.
  • There are more than 20 master’s degree programs offered at Cass Business School that covers full-time, part-time, and online formats in seven subjects areas
  • Three online programs are offered at the Business School and they are Global Finance MSc, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate, Global MBA, and Supply Chain Management and Global Logistics MSc (University of London Partnership Program)
  • Cass Business School offers four MBA programs and they are Full-Time MBA, Evening Executive MBA, Executive MBA in Dubai, and Modular Executive MBA. There is an online Global MBA also offered at the Business School for distance learning students

There are over 11 masters scholarships and waivers, five undergraduate scholarships, and up to 15 scholarships and awards for MBA students at CASS Business School. Few examples of scholarships exclusive to international students include:

  • Business School International Scholarship:
    • This scholarship is paid as a 2,000 GBP discount for only the first year of an undergraduate study at Cass Business School.
    • It is open to international students who have exceeded the required offer requirements and are applying to the first year of undergraduate study and made Cass Business School undergraduate offer their firm choice.
    • It is pertinent to note that International students with A Level or International Baccalaureate are not eligible for this Scholarship, but can apply for the President’s International Scholarship.
    • Selection is made based on academic merit and grades.
  • International Awards:
    • These are continental scholarships given to MBA applicants at Cass Business School.
    • They are given based on the quality of the applicant’s academic or professional credentials through their applications and interviews.
    • The scholarship amount is 30% paid toward tuition fees.
  • Cass High Potential Award:
    • This scholarship is awarded to MBA students who have clear professional merit and can demonstrate their potential to contribute to all aspects of the MBA program.
    • The scholarship stipend is 30% paid towards the cost of tuition fees
  • President’s International Scholarship:
    • Awarded to international undergraduate students who have achieved outstanding grades at ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate and have accepted an offer from the business school as a first choice.
    • This scholarship carries a stipend of 2,000 GBP per annum.
