  1. Lake Area Technical College2 Year Watertown, SD Rating 4.4 out of 5 87 reviews#3 Best Community Colleges in AmericaFreshman: I liked how you really got connected to the Professors and other students! It was really easy to make friends and be involved at this college. You were very easily able to get help if you needed it and ask questions with out feeling nervous because of the smaller class sizes. Being able to work hands on is also very nice. You really get a feel for what you are doing and are able to experience it first hand. I think you get a great learning experience here and are able to use it in the real world.

Staff are amazing and very helpful. Having the opportunity to take online courses and still be able to work full-time is fantastic! Most of the classes I have taken have been great and easy to navigate and learn from. However, I have experienced a couple of classes where there is a ton of busy work. This may help some students learn the material, but I am learn and move on student.

  5. Keiser University – Fort Lauderdale4 Year Fort Lauderdale, FL Rating 4.05 out of 5 1,138 reviews#348 Best Colleges in AmericaGraduate Student: My current experience with Keiser University (KU) thus far has been a wonderful one! Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology in an eLearning setting. This is my first attempt at completing an online program and KU have been so helpful and incredibly patient with helping me get acquainted. It has been nearly 10 years since I completed my last two graduate degrees. There have been so many technologically advances implemented, it makes it difficult to get back into the swing of “student” life, while having a career. Nonetheless, I am eager to tackle those anxieties and with Keiser’s support, I am sure I will reach my goal. The faculty and staff have been so accommodating. They are an efficient team that works effectively together with assisting and serving the student body. Having a staff such as this, keeps the students encouraged, focused, and diligent about completing the goals.

  6. Utah State University4 Year Logan, UT Rating 3.88 out of 5 4,496 reviews#353 Best Colleges in AmericaAlum: Utah State University offers a big bang for your buck! Throughout my time there, I had outstanding professors who were very passionate and approachable! The campus is beautiful and located within minutes of Logan Canyon, making it very desirable for those who enjoy hiking, snowboarding, and more! The students at USU are generally very friendly, however, it is definitely not a very diverse area and is a PWI. Logan is a very affordable area to live in, with many houses close to the campus; which is great because parking can be challenging! Overall, a great school that is super affordable!

  12. Mountainland Technical College2 Year Lehi, UT Rating 3.49 out of 5 45 reviews#18 Best Community Colleges in AmericaGraduate Student: This college was my first experience into starting my education. After taking a year to think about what I wanted to do and what I would be happy with, I took a chance with Mountainland and their Medical Assisting program. I can truly say that, that was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I’ve learned many valuable aspects with this program. They teach you through on-hand learning and skill training that gave me the courage to be confident in going into the medical field and being able to take care of my patients. My instructor really cared about her students exceeding and being able to perform quality care for their future careers. It was an overall comfortable atmosphere that worked so well with the other students. Years later (three to be exact) I still recommend this college to anyone who might be interested in this course. This journey through school taught me a lot and I am very grateful that I was able to get my foot in the door with this college. Thank you!

  13. San Jacinto College2 Year Pasadena, TX Rating 3.94 out of 5 1,773 reviews#20 Best Community Colleges in AmericaFreshman: The professional qualities of this school have been very good for me! I thought applying and signing up would be scary but the process was very motivating, easy, and approachable! I’m very happy with my decision in starting out in this school and I know my school year will be very fruitful this coming fall when I’m able to take all my classes within my busy full time work schedule. The financial aid process is tricky but there’s lots of advisors to speak with and help me out with this process. Scheduling, social distancing and even with altered scheduling with the pandemic; applying and getting help has been transparent, consistent and exemplary. I would definitely recommend this school for people returning to school and for those in financial need. San Jacinto Community College has cured the stagnation of my educational life and has provided me a secure and reassuring way for me to move forward. Kind and considerate staff and advisors have really lightened the load for me

  15. Holmes Community College2 Year Goodman, MS Rating 4.07 out of 5 275 reviews#23 Best Community Colleges in AmericaFreshman: I’ve had a pretty good experience so far with Holmes Community College. The online classes are fairly well laid out, and the classes I’ve taken so far have been easy but have taught me a lot. I haven’t met one instructor yet who wasn’t very nice and very helpful for students. I just started the nursing program here, and it appears to be a well-established and respected program with high expectations for its students. However, in-person classes during this unpredictable Covid-19 time have been somewhat disorganized and hard to follow. I think under normal circumstances, the teachers would have everything together and planned out well. Overall, I definitely recommend HCC. Great quality classes and a really great price for the education you’re receiving. You won’t regret it!

  16. Minnesota State Community and Technical College2 Year Fergus Falls, MN Rating 3.86 out of 5 225 reviews#24 Best Community Colleges in AmericaJunior: Personally, I love this place. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful and there are lots of resources if you need them. The facility is clean and the environment is pleasant for learning or studying. There are also lots of clubs and events to get involved in as well as opportunities like scholarships! Classes, at least the ones I’ve been in, are small and you can get to know your professors and peers. There are programs for certain majors and plenty of classes to choose from, except some of them may be online instead of at the campus. However, if you’re struggling with an online class, M State offers tutoring programs to help you get on your feet, just one of the many helpful services they make available. M State is a wonderful and affordable place to go, and I truly recommend.

  19. Southwest Mississippi Community College2 Year Summit, MS Rating 4.06 out of 5 94 reviews#28 Best Community Colleges in AmericaFreshman: Hi, my name is Keyahna and this upcoming fall semester at will be my last year at Southwest! There are so many amazing characteristics about Southwest that I could list but I will only recall a few for time. A huge factor I focus on with going further in my career are teachers and Southwest has truly blown me away with their instructors. These men and women truly care for their students and help in any way they possibly can, and with the demand of life around us all today, it’s nice to have some reassurance in college. Along with the teachers, Southwest has the best “college atmosphere”. I have truly made life long friends and most of them are not even going into the same profession that I am! One thing that I would change about Southwest is a new women’s dorm to make room for all the incoming young ladies!

It helped me save a lot of money. The teachers on campus are very hands on, and they work around your schedule. The advisors are a great help, especially when it comes time to fill out scholarships or applying to a four year University. I was able to contact my instructors and they would contact me back in a reasonable amount of time. Everyone there are nice and is fully into your education. 22. Harper College2 Year Palatine, IL Rating 3.94 out of 5 912 reviews#31 Best Community Colleges in AmericaSophomore: Harper is a great place to get an education for a lot less money! The professors here are actually really great and I was able to speed ahead of those I went to high-school with that chose to go to a bigger university. I had not even considered Harper originally, but I am so glad I decided to go here because I took the same classes everyone else was taking for about 10x less. I have no student loan debt and I have now just graduated with an associates degree AND a personal training certification which will allow me to get a higher paying job to help pay for school once I transfer. Everyone here is very helpful and really do want to see you succeed. Going to a 2 year is not a bad thing and can actually make you better prepared for life/ transferring to a bigger college later on. I highly recommend going here, especially if classes are going to be online for the next school year!

  25. McFatter Technical College2 Year Davie, FL Rating 3.95 out of 5 20 reviews#34 Best Community Colleges in AmericaSenior: It’s a wildly diverse school, both for high school and college students. While school hours overlap for the two groups, college and hs students rarely interact, and it’s encouraged we don’t interact at all. There’s good financial support and many classes to aid those with sensory disabilities and a few ESOL classes too. You can tell the teachers really care about their students. No athletic department or dorms, since it’s simply a technical college. They prepare you for a job straight out of schooling, though, and there are apartments and houses all over the area. The food is FANTASTIC, the culinary program makes all of the food fresh every day, and they hire experienced people to help with said food. There’s also Papa John’s pizza and vending machines everywhere, so for such a small school, it’s impossible to go hungry.
