Cost of Living in Germany
The average travel and accommodation cost in Germany is around 700-800 EUR per month. The student residence is comparatively cheaper than other kinds of accommodations.

Post-Study Work Visa in Germany
Non-EU can work in Germany after graduation by extending their residence permit (student visa) for up to 18 months after the declaration of final results. Following documents are required to apply for extension:
- Passport
- Certificate of degree completion
- Health Insurance
- Proof of financial stability
During these 18 months, students are required to look for employment related to their field to obtain EU Blue Card or German residence permit. They can, however, work at any kind off employment during this period to support themselves. The validity of the EU Blue Card is 4 years.
To apply for an EU Blue Card, students must have employment with a minimum of 41,808 EUR per annum salary in mathematics, engineering, natural science, technical or physics field and 53,000 EUR per annum in any other field. German language proficiency is a must get employment in this country.
Graduates can apply for permanent residence or “settlement permit” after working for at least 2 years in Germany under EU Blue Card. Around 20,000 Indian students are studying in Germany. The visa acceptance rate is more than 92% and the resident permit after completing the degree can be obtained without major hindrances.
