REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

General Certificate of Education (GCE), General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), or equivalent, with passes in three approved subjects at Ordinary (‘O’) level, or one at ‘O’ and two at Advanced (‘A’), or one at ‘O’ and three at ‘A’.
Candidates may offer Advanced Supplementary (‘AS’) levels that count for half of an ‘A’ level.

Students of high ability, but who have not been able to study for qualifications normally accepted by the University, may be eligible to enter the Foundation Centre. We will also consider your application if you do not possess standard qualifications, but are able to demonstrate sufficient motivation and ability to pursue work to degree standard. We look for people who are enthusiastic and who may have obtained relevant experience or taken examinations at work. Everything you tell us will be of interest, and helpful to the Admissions Selector(s).

All applicants must be able to demonstrate their English language ability to the University in order to begin their programme and also to UKVI if they require a Visa. Some applicants may be able to demonstrate this because they are a native English speaker or have been taught in English. Other applicants may need to take an English language qualification. All required English language qualifications must be taken before 31 July in the year that you apply.

Pre-Masters

  • Entry requirementsTo apply for the Pre-Masters programme you need to meet the following entry requirements.
  • AcademicYou need a good first degree or diploma in a relevant subject. 
    • Business, Economics, Accounting and Finance: you need proof of Maths or other numerate subject modules within your undergraduate degree or diploma.
