Getting a degree as a pharmacist

You must have a degree as s pharmacist in your home country to immigrate to Germany as a pharmacist. The degree must be valid in your home country and approved by the officials. In case you need to pass a test to become a pharmacist, you need to take it and provide the certificate to the German officials. There are two cases with the degree you earned from your home country: 

Degree earned inside the EU 

If you have received your degree from an EU, EEA member, or Switzerland, you will automatically become eligible to work in Germany. There is no need for your documents to be recognized. 

There are requirements with automatic recognition as well. One is the completion of a five-year program that held full-time theoretical and practical education of at least four years. The university or institution must be recognized by German officials, and a six-month internship is also required. 

Degree earned outside of the EU Approbation 

If you got your degree from outside of the EU, you need to have it recognized by the officials. This is the list of authorized centers in each state that you want to move to.

  • You have completed your profession abroad and have studied abroad in an institute of higher education or a university

1-German language courses

  • A1 Beginner Level.

2- “Fachsprachprüfung” (medical language exam)

Training program: 3 weeks,

What is the “Fachsprachprüfunng”?,

Components of the exam:

  • A simulation of a conversation with a patient (20 min).
  • To compose a report (20 min).
  • A conversation with a medical colleague, in which the clinical case will be presented (20 min).

3- Kentnisstandprüfung exam

Training program: 3 months

The training program which will prepare you to be able pass the Kentnisstandprüfung exam.

What is Kentnisstandprüfung?

  • Part of the documents regarding education, examines the extent to which the content of the Nurse academic training and your experience are equivalent to the German pharmacy Education and training.
  • It is a specialized exam in two subjects (law and pharmacy practice), and the third subject determined by the state (clinical or theotics….)
  • The exam can only be repeated 2 times!

After you successfully achieve the Kentnisstandprüfung, you will get your full registration (Approbation) immediately.

Which will enable you to work as a registered pharmacist.

The program will be run into two parts:

The first part will be hold in Qatar:

  • German language courses up to B2 (from 10 -12 months).
  • Traveling to Germany to start the second part of the program there.

Fees of the First part: for a Group minimum of 5 students:

1- German language courses:

  • A1 level: 3 days per week, 3 hrs per day for 8 week, 72 hrs in class, 48 hr as homework, total hrs 120 hrs, cost: 5040 QR.
  • A2 level: 3 days per week, 3 hrs per day for 8 week, 72 hrs in class, 48 hr as homework, total hrs 120 hrs, cost: 5040 QR.
  • B1.1 level: 3 days per week, 3 hrs per day for 8 week, 72 hrs in class, 48 hr as homework, total hrs 120 hrs, cost: 5040 QR.
  • B1.2 level 3 days per week, 3 hrs per day for 8 week, 72 hrs in class, 48 hr as homework, total hrs 120 hrs, cost: 5040 QR.
  • B2.1 level: 3 days per week, 3 hrs per day for 8 week, 72 hrs in class, 48 hr as homework, total hrs 120 hrs, cost: 5040 QR.
  • B2.2 level 3 days per week, 3 hrs per day for 8 week, 72 hrs in class, 48 hr as homework, total hrs 120 hrs, cost: 5040 QR.
  • Registration: 200 QR only one time.
  • Book fees: 300 QR for A1, A2 and B1.
  • There is additional fees for Exams and certificate certified from German Embassy.

Payment methods: Student could pay on monthly installment as follow:

  • 5000 QR as downpayment.
  • 2000 QR each month.
  • Exam fees paid alone before the exam start.

2- Visa processing, deficit letter, Beshayed letter (RECOGNITION LETTER) from Ministry of health in Germany), fees: 2200 Euro.

The second part will be hold in Germany:

  • Preparation course for medical language exam, 3 weeks, fees, 680 Euro.
  • preparation course for exam get the license, 3 months duration, 2000 Euro.

Terms and conditions:

  • Registration fees 1000 QR deducted from the fees of Visa processing, non refundable if the student withdraw from the program.
  • The student could pay the fees of German language courses hold in Doha on monthly basis.
