Laurentian University Campuses
The University has two campuses, namely – Sudbury and Barrie. Sudbury Campus – The campus has several buildings and is facilitated with well-appointed classrooms, labs, auditoriums and libraries, Olympics-size pool, indoor and outdoor tracks, a climbing wall, student residences and student lounges. Most of the courses are taught at this campus.
Barrie Campus – In Barrie programs like BBA, English, History, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work or Sociology are taught. The campus is shared with Georgian College and over 1200 Laurentian students study at Barrie campus. Work While You Study
As per Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) regulations international students holding valid Study Permit can work on campus for up to 20 hours per week. However, they must pursue full-time studies during the course of the semester for up to 40 hours (full time) during the summer or holidays.

The Centre assists in recruiting students from the university. The services offered by CEC include Job Postings, On-Campus Jobs, Internships opportunities, Career Fairs, Employment Counselling, Resume critique, Cover Letter, and Interview Workshops.
Work After Graduation
To be able to work in Canada after graduate studies require a work permit. The work permit duration is directly dependent on the duration of the study program. In order to obtain a work permit, a student must:
- Have studied full-time program of minimum eight months duration.
- Have completed graduate studies from a public institution or private institution.
- Have supporting documents from the University proving completion of studies.
- Have applied for the work permit within 90 days of issue of supporting documents with a valid study permit.
