University of Melbourne Admission Decision

Successful applicants are informed about the admission decision within 2 to 4 weeks via email along with instructions on how to accept the offer and enrol in the university. The offer could be conditional or unconditional.

In case of a conditional offer, admission is only confirmed when a student fulfills all the requirements by submitting necessary documents. This type of offer is usually given to students who are still in the final year of their study and whose results for English proficiency test scores are not yet declared.

In the case of an unconditional offer, admission to the University of Melbourne is confirmed immediately. To confirm the enrollment, international students have to pay the tuition fees depending upon whether they received a scholarship or not. If the scholarship covers health insurance, then universities apply for it on your behalf. Otherwise, students have to arrange for a policy by themselves.

International students can also defer their studies by a semester or year by consulting respective departments. Unsuccessful applicants can request feedback from the university which will help them increase chances of admission if they choose to apply again here.

Visa Requirements for International Students

Before applying for the visa, students must ensure that they have received an offer of study, submitted their acceptance and payment agreement, and received a Confirmation of Enrollment.
