Who can apply?

Students who are admitted to MGA are eligible to apply for scholarships. Students must be in good academic and conduct standing to receive awarded scholarships. Scholarships are competitive and everyone who applies does not receive a scholarship award.

What makes an excellent scholarship application?

Read and answer each question on the application.  If you skip a question, you may miss an opportunity to receive a scholarship.  Ensure you submit your application by the deadline. There are no exceptions.  One of the most important aspects of the application is your essay.  You must thoughtfully answer the essay prompt, responding to each aspect of the question.  Be sure to proofread your essay and double check all spelling and grammar.  For some, it is best to write your essay as a Word Document, review your grammar and spelling, and then cut and paste it into your essay response.

How do I apply?

Once you are logged in, complete the general application. Once you complete the application, you can save and submit your application.  One application will automatically match you with all scholarships for which you qualify.

 When can I apply?

The scholarship portal is typically open once a year for several months.  You will receive notice through your mga.edu email account when the portal will be open to accept scholarship applications and the deadline for submission.

Should I apply for scholarships each year?

Yes. In fact, you must apply each year you plan to attend, no exceptions. Even if you receive a renewable scholarship you must reapply each year.

How is financial need, or unmet need criteria determined if a scholarship requires financial or unmet need?

Financial need is determined by the submission and results of a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application, which must be submitted and processed by the Office of Financial Aid.

Do I need a recommendation letter or letter of reference?

Scholarship recipients will be notified via email once reviews have been completed and awards determined. Recipients must accept the award using a link that will be included in the email. Failure to accept the award on time may lead to a student losing that award.

What if I decide to leave MGA?
