Double Terp Award
Alumni hold a special place in our community, and we reward them for their loyalty with the Double Terp Award. This allows alumni of the University of Maryland, College Park, to receive a $10,000 award upon admission to the full-time MBA Program.
The Forté Foundation Fellowship
In partnership with the nonprofit Forté Foundation, Maryland Smith offers fellowships and numerous lifelong benefits to select MBA women. Scholarship award ranges from $20,000 up to full two-year tuition.

Graduate Assistantships
Financial assistance through Smith departmental work/study programs is widely available to qualified students. Students awarded graduate assistantships pay in-state tuition rates, receive a partial tuition waiver and earn a stipend for 180 hours of work per semester, plus the opportunity to enroll in subsidized health insurance. The graduate assistantship is valued at approximately $27,300 for out-of-state and $16,700 for in-state students.

The MBA program at Smith is 54 credits. Students typically complete 26-34 credits during their first year and the remaining credits in their second year.
Tuition: Based on $1,708 per credit hour for in-state and $2,098 per credit hour for out-of-state.
Fees: Based on a one-time MBAA fee of $725 and a university fee of $817.50 per semester. Fees are subject to change.
The tuition above is for the fall 2021 start. Fall 2022 tuition will be published in July 2022 after approval by the University System of Maryland Board of Regents.
In-State Classification
Applicants are granted in-state status if they have been domiciled in Maryland for at least 12 months prior to the last day of registration for the forthcoming semester, and have been financially independent for the previous 12 months. Out of state students who have a graduate assistant position will always be coded as out-of-state students but will be billed the equivalent of in-state tuition.
