Graduation costs
For graduates in 2020, there is no charge to attend graduation, but you will be required to pay for the rental of your academic gown (approximately £45 per graduate, depending on your award). You may also wish to purchase official photography packages, which range in price from £15 to £200+. Graduation is not compulsory, so if you prefer to have your award sent to you, there is no cost. Extra guest tickets will go on sale after results publication and will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. The cost per ticket was £15 in 2019, but this fee is subject to change for future years. Please note, we do not guarantee there will be any extra tickets available to purchase.

What You’ll Study
Step 1 – PgCert Project Management
Project Management in Context: This module will help you to gain a general understanding of governance and settings. Topics include: project management; programme and portfolio management; infrastructure; knowledge management; life cycle; success factors and maturity; sponsorship environment; operations management.
Finance for Project Managers: This module will develop your accounting skills, with a focus on management accounting suitable for project managers. Topics include: budget and cost control; project funding; investment appraisal; provider selection and management; procurement; management accounting tools and techniques for performance measurement.
Step 2 – PgDiploma Project Management
Project Management Tools and Techniques: On this module you will examine the structures and processes necessary for any organisation to achieve an effective delivery of a project. Topics include: resources scheduling; time scheduling; information management; stakeholder management; benefits management; requirements management; solutions development; P3 assurance (quality); reviews (quality).
Developing Human Capabilities and Leadership Skills in PM: This module exposes you to the theories that have created advances in the fields of organisational behaviour (OB), human resource management (HRM) and leadership. Topics include: communication; conflict management; delegation; influencing; leadership; negotiation; teamwork; communities of practise; competence; ethics framework; learning and development; HRM.
Agile Project Management: Based on the proven fundamentals within the dynamic systems development method (DSDM) Atern, this module teaches you the Agile Project Management methodology. Agile aims to address the needs of those working in organizations requiring standards, rigour and visibility around project management, while at the same time enabling flexibility, fast delivery and personnel empowerment.
Step 3 – MSc Project Management
Research Methods: You will identify your own research topic with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the different management research philosophies and approaches. It also explores the application of various management research methods and considers the organisation and management of research and ethical issues.
Dissertation: You will have the opportunity to undertake in-depth study of an issue or problem which is: (a) of particular interest to you and (b) is related to the overall aims and objectives of your project management course, with the potential to publish your findings.
