St. Philip’s College, part of Alamo Colleges in San Antonio, Texas, is a public community college that aims to prepare students for advanced learning in academic and technical programs.

One of the nation’s largest HBCUs, (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) Texas Southern University (TSU) offers numerous academic programs in the middle of a thriving metropolis.

Prairie View A & M is a well-established university with a reputation for high quality academics.
Located in Prairie View, TX, Prairie View is part of the Texas A & M University system. Prairie View offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 45 academic disiplines as well as over 35 master’s programs and four doctoral programs.
Prairie View is especially well-known for its programs in engineering and business which received top rankings from U.S. News and World Report.
Its nursing and education programs, two of its oldest, also come with a reputation for excellence.

Wiley College
Wiley College is a historically black college (HBCU) founded in 1873 in order to provide higher education for students with a will to learn and improve their lives. Though it was established in the Methodist tradition, Wiley College does not require students to be members of the Methodist faith.
Wiley College is committed to educational access, which creates a diverse student body and many different student organizations to get involved in.
Bachelor’s degrees in the arts, sciences and business administration are available. Shorter associate’s degrees for transfer or career training are also an option for Wiley students.
