The Unitek Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is a great way to get started as a nurse. It takes about two years to complete, and it’s a great way to get your feet wet in the field. As a former student at UNITEK, I am very familiar with the program. I have been out of the classroom for almost two years now and have had the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings.
The program is challenging and requires a lot of work from the student. The professors are very knowledgeable about their subject area, but sometimes it can be difficult to understand what they are trying to teach you. They do not always teach in an organized way or give clear instructions on how to complete assignments, so it is important that you are self-motivated and willing to seek help when needed.
The curriculum itself seems very well thought out and covers all of the relevant topics needed for success in nursing school. However, there are some gaps in content that need to be addressed; some classes cover more material than others, which makes it difficult to keep up with all of them at once.
I would recommend this program because it prepares you well for entry into nursing school; however, if you are looking for something more hands-on then this may not be right for you.
