The University of Milan popularly known as Statale, is one of the significant universities in Italy. It has more than sixty thousand students and research staff of about two thousand. It is also a member of the League of European Research Universities and the only university from the country to be in this club.

university in Italy with a high acceptance rate of 90% is located in the Southern area of Italy. It was founded in 1925 and it has grown to have 12 faculties with numerous courses and degrees available for both national and international students. The university only requires students to take an evaluation test, which is not an entrance exam. It’s simply performed to assess the student’s knowledge. However, certain specific courses do require entrance exams and for these, the acceptance rate is lower than 90%. Some of these include medicine, which has an acceptance rate of only 50% for students that come from outside of the EU.

    Acceptance rate: 85%
    This institution has an incredible balance between liberal arts studies and hands-on experience. This way, students can start to develop a presence in the workforce from early on in their careers through internship programs. Courses are focused on humanities and social sciences. Furthermore, an international environment is heavily promoted. Therefore, foreign students are very welcomed into this university located in the heart of Italy, Rome. However, the student body is relatively small, with only 500 undergraduates enrolled. This allows the faculty to have a closer relationship with the students, providing them with personalized attention. This is part of what makes education at this college so high quality. Furthermore, the university offers numerous exchange programs as it has locations in other countries as well.

    Acceptance rate: 60%
    This university has an enviable location very close to the Colosseum, in Rome. Thanks to the fact that it is an American university, it offers English-based programs, which makes it very attractive to foreign students wishing to pursue their entire degree or part of it in this beautiful city. Courses are mainly oriented towards economics and humanistic studies, and there are numerous scholarships available for students in need of financial aid. It is necessary to show English proficiency and to have a GPA of over 2.5 to be eligible to study at this institution. Classes are quite small, with less than 15 students per class. Also, another great fact is that John Cabot University is a university in Italy with a pretty high acceptance rate!

    This university is located in the city of Bologna and it has an ample research background. The faculty strongly encourages students to focus on different investigation programs, in the hopes of innovating in different fields. The university establishes admission tests as a requirement for interested students to be able to take any of the courses offered. It is recognized in Italy and Europe as one of the best institutions in the continent and it has a long-standing reputation for being at the forefront of education.     This selective institution is located in Pisa and is one of the oldest higher-studies centers in the country. This is considered as one of the best institutions in the continent, with high-quality programs and strong research philosophy. Thanks to this, it has gained recognition internationally and it’s often in the top five of the best universities in Italy. To be admitted, students have to take an admission’s test and only 20-30% of applicants are accepted. The university offers a wide variety of programs, from law to clinical and experimental medicine, having options for almost every student interested.

Although some of its courses don’t require an admission test, most of them do and they can be quite selective. Schools like the medical school are very demanding and require that, as an applicant, you score in the top 15% of the admission test if you are a non-EU student. The acceptance rate might be even lower as a European student. However, these rates vary according to the program in question.
