If you are a student
- resident abroad (unless you are registered with AIRE and married to a citizen resident in Italy)
or - resident in Italy, but you do not meet the independence requirements pursuant to art. 8 of DPCM 159/2013 as amended and your family members are resident abroad
you can choose to request a reduction for the full-comprehensive contribution due for enrollment on study courses of the academic year 2020-2021 based on the ISEE parificato or based on the GDP pro capita and Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) of the country of residence or that of parents (if you are not a self-employed student).
The independence requirements are considered to be met if you meet both the following conditions:
- you have resided outside the home of the family of origin, for at least two years, in a flat not owned by one member of the family;
- have declared an income of at least โฌ 6,500.00 in the years 2018 and 2019.
Full-comprehensive contribution based on ISEE parificato
If you choose to pay the full-comprehensive contributionbased on the value of the ISEE parificato, the amounts due are those provided for in articles 2 and 3.1 of the Tax and Contribution Regulations for the academic year 2021-2022, except for any exemptions.
The ISEE parificato must be delivered by the student to the Right to Education Section along with an original copy of the documentation required for release by 22nd November 2021.
In case the ISEE parificato is delivered after 23rd November 2021 and by 22nd February 2022,a fine of โฌ 150.00 will be charged.
In case the ISEE parificato is not delivered by the deadline of 22nd February 2022, you are not entitled to the reduction / exemption of the full-comprehensive contribution and you are required to pay the maximum amount foreseen.
In case the ISEE value exceeds โฌ 85,000.00, there is no right to the reduction/exemption of the full-comprehensive contribution.
For students enrolling for the first year of postgraduate degreesand completing the enrolment after 22nd November 2021,no fine will be charged for delivery of ISEE parificato carried out after 22nd November 2021.
However these students must deliver the ISEE parificato by 22nd February 2022, otherwise they will pay the maximum amount due.
Students admitted to study courses with restricted number of places after 22nd November 2021 can deliver the ISEE parificato within 30 days after the admission without paying any fine.
If you pay the full-comprehensive contribution based on the ISEE parificato, the deadlines and the amounts foreseen for the installments are those indicated in art. 5 of the Tax and Contribution Regulations for the academic year 2021-2022.
Full-comprehensive contribution based on GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence
If you choose to pay the full-comprehensive contribution based on GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence, except for any exemptions, the amounts due are as follows:

Moreover, the value of the GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence will become a substitute for the ISEE parificato in all University procedures for the academic year 2021-2022 for which the economic benefits or payments are proportional to the student’s economic condition.
For example, it will be used to determine the amount due for study courses with additional contributions for services on request proportional to the ISEE value.
Full-comprehensive contribution based on GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence must be paid inย two installments:
- the first for a fixed amount of โฌ 300.00 to be paid by 30th November 2021, except for students with a foreigh qualification who enrol on a first a.y. of an undergraduate/postgraduate degree/5-year or 6-year postgraduate degrees, who have to pay it by 31st January 2022
- the second equal to the balance due to be paid by 31st March 2022.
To these installments will be added the first installment consisting of the regional tax for the right to study and the stamp duty to be paid at the time of matriculation/enrollment.
If you are resident abroad, the University will directly apply the full-comprehensive contribution based on GDP per capita PPP of the country of residence. Check that the country of residence declared in the personal data of your MyUniTo is correct and updated.
If you are resident in Italy but do not meet the independence requirements and your family members are resident abroad, you will have to use the dedicated Google form available in your MyUniTo > Career > Fees reduction.
The request for a reduction of the full-comprehensive contribution for the academic year 2021-2022 based on GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence must be carried out by 22nd November 2021.
In case the request for a reduction of the full-comprehensive contribution for the academic year 22021-2022 based on GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence is carried out after 22nd November 2021 and by 22nd February 2022, a fine of โฌ 150.00 will be charged.
It will not be possible to request a reduction of the full-comprehensive contribution for the academic year 2021-2022 based on GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence after 22nd February 2022 and the maximum amount of the tuition fees will be due.
For students enrolling for the first year of postgraduate degrees and completing the enrolment after 22nd November 2021,no fine will be charged for request of reductionof the full-comprehensive contribution based on GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence carried out after 22nd November 2021.
However these students must carry out the request of reduction by 22nd February 2022, otherwise they will pay the maximum amount due.
Students admitted to study courses with restricted number of places after 22nd November 2021 can carry out the request of reduction of the full-comprehensive contribution based on GDP pro capita PPP of the country of residence within 30 days after the admission without paying any fine.
Deadlines and amount of the instalments First instalment
The amount of the first instalment must be paid at the moment of matriculation/enrolment and it includes:
- duty stamp, virtually paid, according to law in force at the moment of enrolment: 16 โฌ
- regional tax for university study right:
- 140,00 for the majority of students
- โฌ 122,00 solelyย for students enrolling for the first year ofย undergraduate courses without a restricted number of places and 5-year postgraduate degree in Law, as a reimbursement for the TOLC cost. If the regional tax for university study rightย is not due, the student will get a reimbursement ofย 18,00 (only one reimbursement per person)For exemptions consult art. 3 ofย Regolamento tasse e contributi a.a. 2021-2022.
The second instalment plans a maximum amount of 450 โฌ and is calculated:
- according to ISEE value and to exemption conditions as foreseen (consult art. 3 of Regolamento tasse e contributi a.a. 2021-2022)
- calculating a part-time commitment for all students.
If you do not request ISEE within the above-mentioned deadlines, you must pay the maximum amount of the second instalment equal to 450 โฌ.
The second instalment must be paid:
- by 30th November 2021 for the majority of students
- by 31st January 2022, solely for students:
- enrolled for the first year of postgraduate degrees completing the enrolment after the 21st November 2021
- with a foreigh qualification who enrol on a first a.y. of an undergraduate/postgraduate degree/5-year or 6-year postgraduate degrees.
Third instalment
The third instalment is calculated:
- according to ISEE value and to exemption conditions as foreseen (consult art. 3 of Regolamento tasse e contributi a.a. 2021-2022)
- according to the full-time/part-time commitment, chosen while submitting the career plan.
If the amount due is:
- 160,00 euro or less, it must be paid in one instalment (third instalment)
- more than 160,00 euro, it must be paid into two equal instalments (third and fourth instalments).
The third instalment must be paid by 31st March 2022.
Fourth instalment
The fourth instalment corresponds to the balance of the full-comprehensive amount and it must be paid by 31st May 2022.

Access your MyUniTO with your own credentials and select how to pay under the item Payments, choosing one of the possibilities offered by PagoPA, a system for electronic payments created to make any payment for the Public Administration easier, safer and clearer.
According to new Italian regulation, starting from June 30th, 2020 all payments for Public Administrations must be made through the electronic system PagoPA.
It will not be possible to make the tuition fee payment via MAV form, even if the MAV form has already been printed, or via bank transfer to the University account. Only payments received via bank trasnfer from foreign accounts will be accepted.
