McMaster University Campus and Residence

McMaster University’s main campus is located in the Westdale neighborhood of Hamilton, Ontario, at the western end of Lake Ontario, between Toronto and Niagara Falls. Commuting to the campus is easy with accessible bus routes and metro. All the necessary amenities are within a radius of 3km of the campus, it is home to the majority of the university’s facilities.

Spread across 300 acres, the McMaster campus is divided into three main areas:

  • Core Campus: Houses most of the university’s academic, research, and residential buildings
  • North Campus: Comprises Mac’s athletic precinct and a small number of surface parking.
  • West Campus: The least developed area of the main campus, consisting of only a couple of buildings, surface parking, and undeveloped land.

The university also has four regional campuses: Downtown Hamilton, Burlington, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Niagara. The university also has a student club along with a fitness center and athletics teams. McMaster student club administers and supports around 250 academic, cultural, and social issues clubs on-campus. 

Housing
