Tuition is charged at different rates from one type of institution to another. Student Life

Located approximately 50 km west of Lefkoşa (Nicosia), METU Northern Cyprus Campus is built on a magnificent hill with an area of 44 hectares (110 acres) commanding a beautiful view of the Trodos Mountain range to the south, the Mediterranean Sea to the west and a National park filled with ancient olive trees to the north. Also visible 6 km to the south is the quaint town of Güzelyurt (pop. 19,000), situated among fragrant citrus groves.

METU has brought its experience and excellence in teaching and research to Northern Cyprus Campus in 2005, with the purpose of establishing a new interface with international students. The medium of instruction is strictly English. Here on our new campus, we incorporate the  strict academic standards of METU within the setting of Cyprus – a picturesque Mediterranean island – to form a unique combination that makes living the METU educational experience even more rewarding for our students. We, in our campus, enjoy the advantages of being a close-knit community, where almost all our faculty and most of our students live on campus, thus setting the stage for a unique, warm and close student-teacher relationship. Furthermore, our favorable student-to-faculty ratio of 12 to 1 guarantees our students perfect in-class and out-of-class academic exposure to the faculty. In fact, an exceptional and very unique culture has developed in METU NCC over the last few years, where students enjoy a sort of “personal touch” from everybody on campus; faculty, administrators and workers.
