VISA & Work Study

VISA

International students can apply for a visa in the F-1 or J-1 category.

F1 Visa:

• International students must maintain full-time student status in order to maintain legal status with the United States government. 
• It is obtained by presenting the Form I-20 to a US consulate or embassy and submitting an application for an F-1 visa.
• Students require to show proof of funding for at least the first year of study.

J1 Visa:

Work Study

On-campus employment is limited to 20-hours per week when a class in session. However, these 20 total hours can be split between different types of employment, if authorized.
