New students must complete enrolment before the second teaching week in the semester, or by the last day to enrol in the course in a non-standard session.

The Australian National University is one of Australia’s leading public universities. It is placed #=27 in the QS Global World Rankings 2022. ANU offers 390+ majors and minors at the undergraduate level and 110+ specializations at the postgraduate level. According to QS subject rankings, Psychology(Rank #38) and Business & Management Studies(Rank #63) are among the top-ranked programs at Australian National University.

  • Admissions at Australian National University are available for two semesters- Semester 1 in February and Semester 2 in July, for which applications are open throughout the year.
  • The average tuition fee at ANU is about 29,628 AUD to 45,360 AUD which is equivalent to 16.68 lakhs to 25.53 lakhs. Additionally, The estimated cost of accommodation at an Australian national university is AUD 15,340- 23,100 (8.8 lakhs- 13.01 lakhs). 
  • The main campus of Australian National University includes seven research and teaching colleges, as well as other national institutions.
  • ANU’s overall employment rate is 70% which is slightly higher than the national average of 69.5%. Throughout the year, a huge number of businesses, such as P&G, Microsoft, Intuit, Disney, and others, visit the campus for several networking events and offer exceptional packages to selected students.

  • Eligible domestic students should ensure that they have their tax file number to request Commonwealth Assistance (HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP and SA-HELP).
  • International students on a ‘non-student visa’ must supply a copy of their visa to [email protected].

  • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (GDLP)
  • Master of Legal Practice (MLP)

Step 2
Choose courses

You will need to select the courses you’d like to enrol in. Use the Programs & Courses search to find your degree or select your degree from the list below:

  • Graduate Certificate of Management
  • Graduate Certificate of Studies (Online)
  • Juris Doctor (Online)
  • Master of Applied Anthropology and Participatory Development (Online)
  • Master of Applied Anthropology and Participatory Development (Advanced) (Online)
  • Master of Laws in Migration Law

Program & Courses will provide details on the courses you will need to complete to meet your degree requirements. You need to note the course title, course code, enrolment session and class number of your choices to enrol.

Step 3
Enrol in ISIS

Once you have identified the courses you want to enrol in, log on to the Interactive Student Information System (ISIS).

If this is the first time, you have accessed ISIS you will be asked to complete the ‘Task Wizard’. Read and complete each step in the ‘Task Wizard’ carefully. 

Upon completing the ‘Task Wizard’ select Main Menu (compass in top-right hand corner of screeen) > Navigation > ISIS > Enrolment > Enrolment and follow the steps in the How to enrol guide to add each course.

After you’ve enrolled

  • Your course fees will be invoiced in ISIS during the first two weeks of the semester or session. A notification will be sent to your ANU student email once your invoice has been made available. 
  • Your course guide will appear in WATTLE shortly before your course commences.

A single two year graduate award offered by the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences

The Master of Studies is a flexible option for graduate studies at ANU for students whose needs are not met by following a program of study in a single academic discipline. Subject to meeting course entry requirements, you will be able to select courses from across the graduate course offerings available, allowing you to structure your studies and direct your learning in a way that meets your academic, personal and professional interests and enables you to develop skills and expertise in a range of learning areas, for example, a combination of courses in art history, environmental science, finance and management.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will have the skills and knowledge to:

  1. understand an advanced body of theoretical and applied topics;
  2. apply advanced skills in analysis, critical evaluation, and/or professional functions to solve complex problems;
  3. demonstrate creativity and flexibility in the application of advanced knowledge and skills to new situations; and
  4. communicate complex knowledge, ideas, and solutions to problems to both specialists and non-specialists.

Admission Requirements

A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with an average mark of at least 65 per cent.

All applicants must meet the University’s English Language Admission Requirements for Students

Applicants with a Bachelor Degree or Graduate Certificate in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 24 units (1 semester) of credit.

Applicants with a Graduate Diploma or Honours in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 48 units (1 year) of credit.

Scholarships

ANU offers a wide range of scholarships to students to assist with the cost of their studies.

Eligibility to apply for ANU scholarships varies depending on the specifics of the scholarship and can be categorised by the type of student you are.  Specific scholarship application process information is included in the relevant scholarship listing.

Program Requirements

The Master of Studies requires the completion of 96 units, of which:

96 units must come from 6000-level, 7000-level and 8000-level courses

The 96 units must consist of:

A maximum of 36 units from courses from the graduate classification: Transitional

A minimum of 36 units from completion of courses from the following graduate classifications:

Specialist

A minimum of 12 units from courses from the graduate classification: Research
